Only 15 percent of U.S. part-time workers are eligible for health care coverage through their employer, but only 53 percent of those take advantage of the benefit, according to the ADP Research Institute. That compares with 88 percent of full-time employees being eligible for coverage, with 77 percent enrolling in their employer’s plans.
