Change to NCCI Split-Point for Workers’ Compensation Premium Calculations Effective 2013

The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) recently announced plans to change how it calculates experience ratings. Some of you may have read IIABA’s explanation of the changes in last month’s News and Views e-newsletter. The following information is specific to Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Compensation Rating Bureau and the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance approved and adopted the NCCI recommendations effective October 1, 2013. It is important to be familiar with these changes, as they could significantly impact the premiums your customers pay.
