Sarah is married and has two boys. They also have a dog named Shadow. The coolest adventure she has had was visiting her husband's identical twin brother and his wife in Sri Lanka. They visited ancient ruins, holy sites, and an elephant orphanage where baby elephants were rescued and raised safely. It was a transformational experience. Sarah also likes to knit and cross-stitch in her spare time.
Prior to joining ClearPath Benefits, Sarah was in the transportation and distribution industry for six years and was in retail for a little over 2 years. She has 4 years of logistics management experience during which she led 3 projects, all ending with positive outcomes. Sarah’s largest project included leading a regional team across the Eastern USA. They raised the on-time service of the then-new returns parcel program by 3%, which brought them from under goal to 1% over goal.
Now, she uses her drive and passion to enhance the ClearPath working environment as our Human Resources Generalist.
Sarah has an Associate of Arts from Columbus State Community College. During that time, she was on the dean's list every quarter. Now, she pursues a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management at Franklin University and has been on the president's list for two completed semesters thus far.
Sarah received an award called the "General's coin and plaque" for "Contributions Significant to Operations" in 2011 at FedEx SmartPost after she rewrote the training manual for the Parcel Return Program. She wrote this manual of her own volition and submitted it to corporate in hopes it would help their training initiatives.
Sarah is also a Certified Select Behavioral Interviewer, meaning she can conduct interviews that ask candidates about how they acted in certain situations using real events and not hypothetical reactions. In 2011, she received two Logistics team-based awards at FedEx for "Exemplary Teamwork" and "Best Logistics Department in East Region of FedEx SmartPost”.
Through Columbus Diaper Bank, Sarah organized a diaper drive with The Kind Elephant that raised 1,600 diapers for children in central Ohio who would not have had diapers otherwise. For The Mid-Ohio Foodbank, she ran a half marathon in 2014 to raise $600 in support of their mission. She also donates monthly.
Her Catchphrase is, "Make a difference. Love People. Don't let fear hold you back from what you know you can achieve." Her favorite quotes is: "What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?" Author Unknown
